Adult psychology

Psychotherapy is not «a chat about life». It is structured work with what prevents you from living. The method is matched to the task, not vice versa.

What people come with

  • Anxiety, panic attacks
  • Depression, apathy
  • Work burnout
  • Relationship difficulties (partner, family, colleagues)
  • Loneliness
  • Difficult life events (loss, divorce, relocation)
  • Low self-esteem, insecurity
  • Procrastination, self-organisation issues
  • Search for meaning, existential questions
  • Psychosomatics (when the body «speaks» for the psyche)

Therapy approaches

CBT (cognitive-behavioural therapy)

Work on thoughts → emotions → behaviour. Effective for anxiety, depression, phobias, OCD. Structured approach with homework. Course of 12–20 sessions.

Gestalt therapy

Work «here and now», contact with feelings, unfinished situations. Good for relationships, grief, body work. Medium- to long-term course.

Psychoanalysis / psychodynamics

Deep work: early relationships, unconscious patterns, recurring scenarios. Long-term (1–2+ years). For those who want to «understand why», not just «stop».

EMDR

Reprocessing traumatic memories through eye movements. Short protocol (8–12 sessions) for PTSD, acute trauma.

How to choose an approach

If you don't know where to start — start with CBT or Gestalt consultation. The method can be changed. The main thing is not the «perfect method» but the contact with a specific psychologist.
